Are all Rohmer characters on the spectrum or something? I know her behavior ties to what he wants to talk about: men can't handle commitment unless they commit first-- romantics don't have a place in this post-modern world-- true love doesn't suffer cowards. But her inability to read even the simplest social cues makes her seem unwell. I've already talked elsewhere about how almost all Rohmer characters exhibit some pretty disturbing behavior (usually in the cutest way possible). This is no different. The movie itself was pretty great.
