Errol Flynn is wonderful. The cinematography is great. Some shots seemed as though they were spontaneously caught. Good movie.

I love the natural chemistry between Flynn & Niven. It reminds me of Lennon and McCartney/Carl Barat and Pete Doherty of the Libertines. This is a splendid movie and I highly recommend it! (And Errol really is WONDERFUL in it!!)

It also depicts the kind of innocence and optimism of the young soldiers when coming to war. It's what Stefan Zweig was talking about in his Die Welt von Gestern (The world of yesterday). They soon discovered the war will last longer and that they might die.
