The first half of this well-played biopick contains an interesting depiction of the classic from rags to riches story with some nice country music sprinkled on top. Unfortunatly, it starts to drag after Loretta Lynn achieves fame and riches.

I kinda agree with Zeltaebar. Specifically, once Patsy Cline dies, the story is just searching for an arc.

Spacek sings the songs astoundingly well.
