I liked it a lot, although I'm not surprised by the negative comments. I don't blame them; Lewis' comedy is hard to stomach; but if it clicks with you, the other aspects of his filmmaking begin to shine. The costumes, the art direction and the cinematography are remarkable. He also knows how to begin and end scenes. It's easy to see why Cahiers loved him.

While, I don't find it as annoying as some other Jerry Lewis films (Sailor Beware), it still isn't funny at all. The recent American Blu-ray looks very good and I did like the initial transformation scene.
Funnily enough, I was the opposite of Khazar and I actually found Buddy Love to be more actively annoying then Professor Klemp.
