The movie that dares to ask: When, oh, when will beautiful young girls give bad boy jocks a chance?

I am surprised to be saying that this really was a poor film. It started off well enough in the first half, but it was downhill from there. I hope it worked much better on the stage.

Not to mention the terrible miscasting of William Holden. I found him wholly unbelievable as the character - and not only because of his age - which should have been played by more of a James Dean type.
