Quite a good horror movie. At first I was really annoyed by the character of Carrie, but after I sawthe home situation, with the crazy mom that forbids everything, I came to understand Carrie better. When the time came, I kind of expected what would happen. With the blowing up of cars et cetera. What I really liked was the tension that DaPalma build up. I also appreciatedthe surprise scare at the end, when suddenly a bloody arm grabs the girl when she puts flowers on the 'grave'.

I was really impressed. Da Palma builds up an incredible amount of tension leading up to the inevitable climax. Only the ending, with Carrie's home being literally sucked into hell, spoiled what I would otherwise consider to be a perfect horror film. I found it a little much; kind of a cheap ending after what preceded it.
