Probably the most ambitious film I've ever watched. An impressively researched treatise on the topics of national identity, ideology, the nature of evil, and the popular complicity in Hitler's success, as well as exposing our own lasting fascination with the man and his incredible influence on Western society and culture. Also excessively long, slow and complex, especially to one who isn't especially familiar with all the historical details.
