@bal3x: Well it is basically because Orson Welles' "Touch of Evil" (1958/59) is regarded as the last true noirfilm and subsequently all made after that are labelled neo-noir or post-noir. Noir is thought of as a genre operating within a specific time period .

This is brilliant low-budget noir! Why isn't this under ANY noir list?! I know IMDB restricts post-1958 films... but there are other lists.
