Ahh yes, the early 90s. I remember I had this purplish-blue sweater, with objects such as rockets and beach balls on it in turquoise-teal, yellow, and pink... Obviously all clothing of that era was limited to these colours.

For me, that notion was my point of recognition; where I was able to jump on and place myself in the same timeframe as the main characters from the series and to continue growing along with them. This alone makes each of these 2+ hour instalments so rewarding and worthwhile. As time catches up with anyone watching, it suddenly dawns on one that the Up series are capturing something distinctly... human.
