The most hyperbolic comments I've ever seen.

Johnson: Would you look at how fast they put up the names of all our guys who got killed?
Sgt. Possum: That's a World War One memorial.
Johnson: But the names are the same.
Sgt. Possum: They always are.

A decent World War II flick, but with little new to offer for anyone familiar with the genre. The plot consists of random episodes that seem to symbolise rather obvious themes of war. The characters have their moments but stay through to type (or should I say clicheé) and are therefore somewhat shallow. They did not interest me much despite good efforts from the cast, especially Lee Marvin.
