Everran
Astounding content in this film. The sexuality/perversity is really the lowest rung in terms of what shocks here. Its revelations border on the sublime.

A fine documentary. I admire Crumb's honesty. Outsider status aside, I think he taps into something real and subconscious that a lot of people can relate to. Instead of thinking about what makes him "weird" or "crazy," it might be more instructive to consider in what ways he is relatable.
Illiteratus
The viewer progresses gradually into a sense of awe at Crumb's utter oddness and peculiar worldview; then, as we meet the more bizarre members of his family, Crumb takes on a comparative normality. A fascinating look at the obsessive weird genius whose art was the foundation and backbone of the underground comics industry.
