You can find this one on the NFB's website. Luckily, it's free to see and not locked behind the CAMPUS subscription wall.

One of the best films I have seen. It captures the small joys and the underlying despair of Quebecois rural life (in the 40s). It also seems to serve as an elegy for a way of life in decline, without recourse to a romantically constructed past. Deceptively simple, Mon oncle Antoine is nonetheless strikingly ambivalent. Should be required viewing for Canadians at least; highly recommended to all.

Its okay i guess. But the best Canadian movie ever? Really?
