Zeffirelli's classic take is still relevant today. It's sexy, and it's sad, and well played by all concerned. That score will never go away. Everyone's good, but I want to highlight John McEnery as Mercutio, Milo O’Shea as Friar Laurence, and Michael York as Tybalt, They are especially great. And while the tragedy stems from youthful impatience, this adaptation makes it clear Shakespeare was also pointing the finger at parental failure.

I loved this movie! Beautifully done, and it manages to really capture the Shakespearean feel in ways that the Leonardo DiCaprio modernized version didn't. Stays very true to the play, and it made me cry. Amazing movie!
