The romance is too sudden for me to accept the fervor with which these two people -who can't communicate even when there's interpreters around- fall into it. But the movie is sweet and pretty looking enough for me to follow along. Then the ending comes... and it's hard for me to feel poignant about a tragedy the woman chose herself... your mother died for you, you ungrateful sad-sack... fucking rude... just go be with the man you supposedly love...
