Neither boring nor entertaining. It's more of a peek into the lives of two friends who took different paths. There's a lot going on in their lives that just eclipse the surface of the story but don't make themselves too known. I liked it for what it was but it's a very particular film for particular people.

A quiet character study of two old friends on a camping trip and a visit to a hot spring. The plot is slight, but what makes it is Kelly Reichardt's direction and some extraordinary cinematography. A beautiful film. 7.5/10

Those calling this boring obviously don't understand how the subtleties and nuances of life can be communicated via film.
Go and watch a Michael Bay film where things explode.
I enjoyed this a lot. The non-existent plot is superficial to conveying the complex relationship between the two friends. It conveys a great sadness.
