This film has one of the best performances of a villain I can remember seeing. Hats off to you, Richard Conte. I wish I could talk as fast as you.

Beautifully shot noir. All the noir elements are there...fog, shadows, lighting, framed shots, close-ups with highlighted shadows, silhouetted shots. All beautifully done. A delight to watch. And what a cold-hearted villain!
