I know it's Hitchcock and all, but I found the film rather stupid. What kind of wife keeps a framed picture of her lover in plain sight? Boring, not convincing and really pale in comparison to other films of the era and other Hitchcock films for that matter (even Pleasure Gardens was much, much better).

Better than I remembered it being. It's not amazing, but has some interesting moments in it.

It is not The Lodger, it is not brilliant and the plot is quite implausible sometimes.
But is is worthy watching just because we can see an early Hitchcock exploring the connections between violence and jealousy.
