Quite charming, especially the sequences devoted to the servants. Even the dog gets his own verse in one of the songs! Also nice to see an early example of gender role-reversal, even if it's played for laughs (and inevitably forced to conform to a traditional "happy" ending).

I don't care for Jeannette MacDonald's singing so as expected, I was not thrilled with this movie. It was interesting to see Eugene Pallett in one of his early roles before he became so "pleasingly plump".
