Hm, I don't know. I liked the exposition with our two unlucky fellows and was ready for some old-school slapstick comedy. It didn't quite work for me, honestly. Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro has the looks and sounds of a movie from just around the 70s/80s, but the humor surely must have felt dated by then? At least for a Western viewer. Scenes like the phone call or the drunken rendezvous with the coffin are overdone to death (sorry for this pun!). The chaotic final was amusing though. Oh - there's a Antonioni reference!
Not terrible, but as always with comedies, you may find yourself soon enjoying it or not, and then you'll have to pay attention for an (again) long runtime of 2:17h. It's Bollywood, after all.
