I know the other commenters did not enjoy this but I thought it was decent. For the 40's it took place in an interesting setting. It also was a bit frightening for its time. It was a little too mystery by the numbers but still pretty entertaining. I haven't seen anything else produced by Lewton but this film probably pales in comparison to some of his more famous films which I will try to check out soon.

Starts off well but turns into a ridiculously dumb, horribly written, half arsed piece of shit. It was well made though. It's tragic that a great director like Tourneur had to be involved in this : (
