Of course it was relatively creepy when I was a kid and I wholeheartedly agree with other commenters that it had slight elements of terror in it which really stick with you. They did a great job of making everything feel so zainy and out of this world with the animation and colors.

What a creepy, disturbing movie... The other films are mostly just crazy, like the novel. But this one is scary.
