the first movie is better, but it's an alright movie for being a second. the shark looks less real and in a way too intelligent/planning too much. im still amazed though how well they made everything look, it definitely looks more real than many movies we create these days with special effects and high tech.

It's better than the 3rd and 4th movies in the franchise but that really isn't saying much. At the very least it still has Roy Scheider in it and the shark effects aren't half bad. A fairly decent sequel that couldn't possibly live up to the original but at least it attempts to.

This sequel is a little shorter than the original, but somehow feels twice as long.
