- Dern is creepy
- Plot goes nowhere
- Folk songs are cheesy
- Sets/effects cheap looking
- Huey+Dewey named in wrong order (OCD anger)
- product placement galore
- botanist unaware that plants need light (?!)

It is not fair or even prudent to compare this with 2001, there's only a superficial relation between them; in fact, this was a really nice watch because it poses an interesting question: in a world where human problems are solved and no one depends or needs plants anymore, why would someone would care to preserve them?
Not a masterpiece but a good sci-fi with a nice ending.
A little hippie-esque though.

The best part of this movie was the drones, it's worth watching it just for them :)
