Enjoyed it - strange seeing a young Ethan Hawke. Not too keen on the final 1/3 or so of the movie.

I loved this right up until the final third. I was all set to call it quits at that point and keep my good impressions of the film intact, but I am such a whore for checks that I decided to finish watching it several days later. Big mistake. Now, inexcusably affixed to a rather beautiful story of youthful imagination and wonder is the wretched, idiotic third act collapse that has evidently afflicted many other would-be admirers.

The final third of this movie blows.
