Clean, Shaven is an exploration in mental illness, paranoid schizophrenia and how they are perceived by others. As well as being shown in a style that makes the entire thing blow your mind because it's shown from the viewpoint of the man experiencing the illness, pushing the subplot into the background and the main plot even further into the background, a reversal of the way most films are made.

Pretty trippy movie. Interesting spin on a serial killer/noir film.

It seems to me that in this film not only the protagonist is ill but also the society that he lives in.
