I'm no Brakhage afficionado, but I can differentiate among his films, even if there are obvious similarities among many of them. If you feel left out in the cold by Brakhage, it might help if you can read his little descriptions for each one, so you can at least see what he's going for in each one and notice more. Brakhage is actually not very pretentious or complicated in his approach; his desriptions are down-to-earth, modest, sincere, and straightforward. Most of his works are basically visual metaphors for the feeling of a given chosen subject.

Another of Stan Brakhage's experimental shorts. Just random jagged blobs of colour appearing on a black background for 2 minutes. Personally I thought those 2 minutes were a waste of my time.
