I liked the footage that was inserted but the story seemed like an afterthought.

This film features some gorgeous visuals and poignant moments. However it falls short on the story.

Although sombre and tragic, the story of Overlord feels really quite ropey, probably due to the lack of characterisation in general. You sympathise with Tommy because of what he is, but never because of who he is.
