I liked this film, but I find it hilarious that Clint Eastwood's obvious fantasy of what he could be (if he wasn't an actor) is a lame Jazz DJ who recites poetry at his listeners. Oh yeah, and he gets all the chicks, man.

I guess in 1971 you could just drag a woman out of a restaurant, throw her in a cab, and tell the cab driver to "Get her out of here man" and he would just do it.

A decent but very uneven thriller. It benefits from some solid thrills, a few very suspenseful moments, and a memorably unhinged performance from Jessica Walter. Eastwood definitely showed potential as a director but he was clearly still learning (he did get better). Still a watchable flick, glad I saw it.
