This is the story of Victor Frankenstein’s dickish assistant, Paul Krempe, who mooches off of Victor, steals his wife, sabotages his science monster, and then helps frame him for a murder he didn’t commit. They should have called this movie 'The Curse of Paul'.

Whilst Dracula (1958) is said to be the best of Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing's collaborations in Hammer's Horror films, COF was the first of the companies attempts. So of course there are obvious flaws. For what it's worth, COF is a classic horror movie and a delight to watch, if you can be forgiving that it hasn't aged terribly well.

The Opening Reminded me of Amadeus (1984). I'm not sure of the post History of the film and it's adapted sources, but it seems like a copy and paste rip-off.
