senorspitler
Underappreciated, unwanted, yet underrated. These words most accurately describe Rocky Balboa. Though it is no Rocky or the greatest sequel ever made, it is a humbly told story of getting older, growing up, and moving on as told by the southpaw. A real gem in the rough.
The Quirkster
Far from it, frankqb. This movie depicts the essence of the character at his most raw, his most intimate, with all that life has thrown at him, and he's still there. The first one didn't focus as much on how much heart Rocky had, the fact that he never gave an inch, not even at the older stages of his life.
Thief
Surprisingly good because it ends up being more similar to the original film than to the sequels. The film focuses more on Rocky's relationship with his son, than it does with the actual boxing. It's certainly not a great film, but I couldn't help smiling at the end.
