Such a beautiful and sad film. Quite amazing it is so good considering the lack of resources and mostly amateur actors. You really couldn't tell. The well told and heartbreaking story makes up for any moments of melodrama.

Incredible movie made during the WWII. A provocation to Germans, also written by Federico Fellini.
