At the same time, I quite like the score on this one...it's a bit aggressive in terms of the way it colours the film emotionally, but I think it really helps modern audiences feel the same sense of drama that audiences a century ago experienced. That being said, the film is certainly more washed out and appears to be sped up—after the 48-minute mark, it restarts from the beginning—though it doesn't seem like any material was cut:
